Version 2.2 is Mac-friendly!

A new beta version which is still to be released to the public by Blizzard Entertainment of its massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft, will feature some changes which include revised items, player balancing, bug-fixes and being able to get online game footage through QuickTime. This new QuickTime functionality would require QuickTime 7.1.6 or more recent, and the new version would need a Mac OS X 10.4.9 or more recent versions.

One of the most fascinating changes for the users would be the graphics optimizations that were included. The new version would also incorporate some changes which use AltiVec on PowerPC-based Macs and SSE on Intel-based Macs. Vertex animation shaders aren’t available on Mac Minis and MacBooks, which actually use Intel integrated video systems compared to specific graphic cards, the changes in the new version are expected to bring some performance boosts on the Macs.
